How to read Match Terminal

Live scores, market odds and public predictions answer different questions. This page explains how they should be interpreted on Match Terminal.

Live scores and match information

Fixture times, scores, match events and statistics are supplied by third-party football data sources and may update during a match. Information can be delayed, corrected or unavailable; the site should not be used as the sole source for time-sensitive decisions.

Sources, coverage and refresh times

API-Football supplies the primary fixture, team, league and match data. Highlightly provides supplementary coverage for selected matches. Information is cached between updates, so a page is a view of the latest stored data rather than a direct connection to the stadium or a bookmaker.

League and team standings use the same stored league-season table. For scheduled leagues, we attempt an update after the day's matches finish and another after the end of the day. If the provider is late or a refresh fails, the last available table remains visible. This can leave standings behind the final whistle.

Statistics and odds are not available for every competition or future fixture. Fixtures can move, matches can be postponed and providers can correct results. Check the fixture date, status and available detail before relying on a page.

Odds are not predictions

Where prices are displayed, they are market odds. They describe a price offered by a bookmaker or market, not a guarantee and not automatically a Match Terminal recommendation.

How selections are produced

Public users can publish their own picks. House strategy accounts use fictional personas and automated rules or model outputs to publish selections. These accounts represent tracked strategies, not named professional analysts. Automated content is not individually checked by a human before every publication.

A selection is an opinion about a particular market and outcome. Statistical inputs, past results and model estimates can be incomplete or wrong. Different strategies may make opposing selections for the same fixture; that is not evidence that either outcome is certain.

Public picks and tracked records

Public picks are attributable to their published tipster profile and market. A record should show its result, settlement status and the applicable odds at the time the pick was locked. Historical results do not predict future outcomes.

Reading profit, odds and results

Unit profit uses a flat one-unit stake per pick. A winning pick at decimal odds of 2.50 earns 1.50 units of net profit; a losing pick loses one unit. A void or push contributes no profit. Quarter-line Asian handicaps can produce a half win or half loss.

ROI on profile summaries is net units divided by the number of decided wins and losses that were saved with a recorded bookmaker price, expressed as a percentage. Older picks saved without a price still count towards the record and win rate but are left out of units and ROI. Pending picks do not establish a result. A small sample can produce a large percentage and should not be compared with a longer record without checking the underlying picks.

Saved odds are preferred when calculating returns. Some older picks without saved prices use a derived market price or a fallback value. Those historical figures are estimates rather than verified executable bookmaker returns. Records also exclude individual stake sizes, bookmaker restrictions and any taxes or fees you may face.

Reporting a data or settlement error

Email [email protected] with the match or profile URL, the market, the disputed result and a supporting source. Explain whether the issue concerns a fixture, displayed price, match statistic or settled pick so it can be investigated against the relevant record.

Responsible use

Football predictions are informational content. Do not treat them as financial advice or a promise of a result. Read the responsible gambling guidance before placing any bet.
