Editorial standards

Editorial policy

Match Terminal's football information, guides and public records should be clear about their source, timing and limitations.

Responsibility and scope

Rasmus Kivi operates Match Terminal and is the contact for editorial questions and correction requests. This policy covers our football guides, explanatory pages, automated selections and descriptions of public performance records. User-authored picks remain attributable to their publishing profile.

Match data is supplied by external providers and updated by software. House strategy profiles use fictional personas and automated selections. A published selection does not imply that a human editor has personally reviewed that fixture or that a named persona is a real professional analyst.

Accuracy and context

We aim to label scores, events, odds and predictions accurately and to distinguish live data from authored commentary. Dynamic football data can change after publication, so timestamps and source context matter.

Predictions and performance claims

Prediction content must state what is being predicted and must not imply certainty. Any published performance record should include enough context to understand the market, sample size, settlement rules and time period.

Sources and interpretation

Our primary football data source is API-Football, supplemented by Highlightly for selected coverage. Authored analysis must distinguish reported facts from interpretation. When discussing a result or performance period, the relevant fixtures, dates and underlying records matter more than an isolated headline percentage.

Missing data must not be described as a confirmed zero. Odds can change between publication and a reader viewing the page, and a cached table may lag a completed fixture. Historical records are not a promise of future returns.

Corrections and updates

We welcome factual correction requests through [email protected]. Please include the affected URL, the detail you believe is wrong and a reliable source or screenshot. We review the report against the available data and update the affected page or stored record when a correction is warranted.

What a correction can involve

Provider corrections may update scores, events or standings automatically. Errors in explanatory content require an editorial change. Where a material change affects the meaning of an authored article, our policy is to explain the correction on that article rather than silently replace a central claim.

We do not promise a response deadline or uninterrupted data coverage. Do not send passwords, sign-in links, payment information or other sensitive account details with a correction request.

Commercial independence

Any commercial relationship, advertising placement, affiliate link or sponsored content should be identifiable to readers before they act on it.
